Everything's going well

I can't believe how fast a week has gone by!! Marley is already growing so fast! He has surpassed his birthweight, and the pediatrician says they don't expect that until 2 weeks! (Yep, an overachiever, just like his mama!) He's sleeping for 5 hours at a time & is wonderfully happy! Pure perfection!

Here he is!!

Marley Ryan Bynum was born 10/19/09 at 5:36PM.
He was 9 lbs 7 oz when born and was 21.75 inches long! He is one big boy & is tall, dark & handsome just like his daddy!

Chris and I are getting by and enjoying taking care of him (despite being a little sleep deprived!!)

39 weeks

Still no sign that baby is arriving any time soon. Except that I am awake at 4:15 in the morning, and have been up for awhile. There is a lot going through my mind & my body isn't making it easy on my brain. . .

My dear friend Kelly is getting married tomorrow & the wedding festivities started off last night with her bachelorette party!! I only made it til about 11pm but it was def. a good time!!

Full Term!

Today I am 37 weeks pregnant! Can you believe it?? It seems like just yesterday I found out! At my Dr. appointment on Tuesday, I found out that Marley should be making his arrival sometime in the next week or two. After all of the excitement this weekend for Kelly's wedding, my guess is the little man will arrive sooner than later!! We can't wait!

I have soo much to do & so little time!!

I can't wait to share the final pics of Marley's nursery-- I just need to run another load of laundry, get my chair from Cindy's house & then take the pics. The nursery looks AMAZING! It was just how I envisioned it. It was also the first room/thing that I have ever picked out every little aspect from beginning to end. It feels like such an accomplishment, and I am absolutely in LOVE with it! I can't wait to sit in there with Marley and read him books/feed him/rock him to sleep! Here is a little sneak peak of all the hard labor Chris has put in....



Besides getting the nursery together, we are still slowly getting things together in the house--Chris just barely got a mirror in the bathroom & fans up in ours & Marley's room (life-saving from the hot flashes I get every night at 2AM!)

Chris is working every side job he can get (another weekend at the Tucson shopper to look forward to, even though he HATES it!) Doing side jobs for the office & his grandma, and also studying to take his contractor's exam next week. I have a few projects left (one appeal due mid-October & a few other projects that (luckily) can wait until December--just in case I don't get them done before baby).

Everything else around here is going as normal as possible (whatever that is, I am not really sure anymore since so much has already changed in the past 2 months & will only continue). I will update ASAP with pics of Marleys room & any other updates as the last few weeks roll by.

P.S. I think I am going to change the blog address & name, so stay tuned. :-)

Baby Shower & Update!

I had my baby shower over the weekend-- Here is a belly shot at 34 weeks, 2 days:

So I got TONS of clothes at the shower. It left a pretty long list of things we still needed. Luckily, my great cousin Tara had lots of hand-me-downs!



Plus, Sunday and yesterday morning after my doctor's appointment I FINALLY got to do a little shopping on my own! (The only thing I have bought him so far is a hat and sandals for next summer!!) I almost have everything taken care of now--leaving just a few things:

• baby bjorn
• wash cloths
• trash can
• waterfall thing for crib
• baby tylenol
• burp cloths

It's really not much. We decided to save some stuff for Christmas time, namely:

• pack n play
• baby einstein adventure gym
• jumper
• child proof stuff
• jumparoo
• child carseat (versus the infant one in the travel system that we do have)

My 34 week 4 day doctor's appointment went well yesterday. Dr. E said that we need to keep an eye on Marley because he is big (nothing to be alarmed about) but at the next appointment, he will decide whether we need to do a growth sonogram (he's either gonna be a huge baby, or is just a little further along than we think).

I will try to not wait as long before posting again!
